We Are The City - R.I.P - LP (transp. blue vinyl)
We Are The City's fifth full-length album, RIP, hinted at when the innovative AT NIGHT was released, is an interconnected companion album with RIP acting as the prog-pop counterpoint to AT NIGHT's more experimental exploration.
We Are The City spent two years crafting the sweeping RIP, an emotive prog-pop opus, filled with anthems and intimate examinations of mortality. As evidenced in the title, RIP's thematic focus was inspired by a childhood friend, Kyle Tubbs of the band Fields of Green, who passed away during the sessions. Kyle was a brilliant and undiscovered musical talent who was a close collaborator during We Are the City's early years - whenever writing music, the guys would ask themselves, "What would Kyle do?"
LP comes on 180g, transparent blue vinyl, and includes a full-coloured innersleeve with lyrics.
