Painting veröffentlichen das dritte Stück ihrer aktuellen Remix-Reihe: die Zusammenarbeit mit EERA, dem Projekt der in Berlin lebenden norwegischen Künstlerin Anna Lena Bruland.
Zu Ihrer Version von "Momento" erklärt Bruland:
„Mich haben die sich wiederholenden Gesangslinien und Wörter an diesem Song fasziniert. Ich wollte, dass der Gesang im Mittelpunkt steht. Ich habe alles andere weggelassen und den Rhythmus der Stimmen genutzt, um dann den gesamten Track zu gestalten.“
Ende 2025 veröffentlicht EERA ihr drittes Album „I’ll stop when I’m done“. Aufbauend auf umfangreicher Recherche, ist das Album inspiriert von dem berühmten Zitat von Marilyn Monroe: „Ich höre nicht auf, wenn ich müde bin, ich höre erst auf, wenn ich fertig bin.“ Es verwebt intime Reflexionen darüber, was es bedeutet, eine moderne Frau zu sein, mit recherchierten Einblicken in das Leben der Starlets aus Hollywoods Goldenem Zeitalter. Das Ergebnis ist eine durchdachte Hommage an die weibliche Erfahrung in all ihrer Komplexität, Stärke und Verletzlichkeit.
Painting release the third collaboration of their recent series of reworks. It features EERA, the project of Berlin-based Norwegian artist Anna Lena Bruland.
As for her version of "Momento", Bruland explains:
"I was drawn by to this song because of the repetitive vocal lines and words. I wanted the vocals to be the main focus. I stripped it all back and used the rhythm of the voices to create the whole track."
In late 2025 EERA released her third album "I’ll stop when I’m done". A research-led body of work, the album is inspired by the famous Marilyn Monroe quote: “I don’t stop when I’m tired, I only stop when I’m done” and interweaves intimate reflections on what it means to be a modern woman with researched insights into the lives of the starlets from Hollywood’s Golden Age. What emerges is a studied celebration of the female experience, in all its complexity, strength and vulnerability.
