Musikerin, Bookerin und Performancekünstlerin Mira Mann veröffentlicht heute "Touch Me I’m Sick"! Hier entlang zum Anhören.
Es ist das nächste Stück aus einer Reihe, in der Mira Hits aus den 80er- und 90er-Jahren in die Gegenwart holt, sich selbst und ihre Zeit darin reflektiert und festhält, was dabei wieder zum Vorschein kommt.
Für den fünften Teil der Reihe kollaboriert Mann nun mit Philo Tsoungui. Als eine der markantesten Stimmen einer neuen Generation von Drummer*innen, Produzent*innen und Komponist*innen arbeitet Tsoungui mit Künstler*innen wie The Mars Volta oder Paula Hartmann zusammen. Als TSOUNGUI ist sie als Produzentin tätig und zeigt in eigenen, interdisziplinären Projekten ihren einzigartigen, genreübergreifenden Zugang zu Sound, Performance und Produktion.
"Touch Me I’m Sick", inspiriert von Mudhoney's gleichnamigen Stück, ist der erste Track der in dieser Zusammenarbeit entsteht. Das Stück ist außerdem Teil der aktuellen Ausstellung in der Lothringer 13 in München, die Mann im Rahmen der Reihe "Antifaschismus: Jetzt" als Monatsprogramm kuratieren konnte. Mann legt dabei den Schwerpunkt auf Krankheit, Behinderung und künstlerisches Arbeiten. Das Stück ist dabei im Ausstellungsraum mit Kopfhörern zu hören.

It's the next song from a series, in which Mira brings hits from the 80s and 90s into the present, reflects herself, her time in them and documents what comes back.
For the 5th part of the series, Mira is collaborating with TSOUNGUI. As one of the most distinctive voices of a new generation of drummers, producers and composers, Philo Tsoungui works with artists such as The Mars Volta, or Paula Hartmann. As TSOUNGUI, she works as a producer and, through her own interdisciplinary projects, demonstrates her unique, cross-genre approach to sound, performance and production.
"Touch Me I’m Sick", inspired by Mudhoney’s song of the same name, is the first track to emerge from this collaboration. The song is also part of the current exhibition at Lothringer 13 in Munich, in which Mira focuses on illness, disability and artistic practice.
